Some people were raised by wolves; I was raised by the internet. And, unfortunately, I don't mean Tumblr - I mean the static-filled whistle of a dial-up modem. I grew up on BBS, IRC, and MUDs. And I'm not that old.

I started programming before I was 10, in the early days of CGI/Perl. Since then, I've worked as a developer, journalist, marketer, and editor. I have a B.S. in Software Engineering and an M.S. in AI Engineering. I hold bylines in Grunge, Hackr.io, The Gamer, SVG, and ChannelInsider. I've worked for major enterprises (BigCommerce, Amdocs) and smaller consultancies (Big Nerd Ranch, my beloved). I even owned a brick-and-mortar game shop, retail space, and full-service restaurant... during the pandemic.

The last few years have found me home at Google, working on Gemini CLI and Antigravity. I have been in the AI/ML space for nearly a decade now, well before it became a moral vortex, and my goal within this space is simple: to always advocate and fight for the human.

Also, to bring back Usenet.
